About Liz
Liz currently resides in Western North Carolina with her husband, Scott Summerfield and daughter Roby Leigh. They both work out of their studios located at their home in Bakersville, North Carolina.
Liz grew up in northern California and moved to Boulder, Co where she completed her BA at the University of Colorado. Next she spent three years in Smithville, TN working in the studios at the Appalachian Center for Crafts. She worked the in clay and fiber studios.
Liz attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis to complete her Masters of Fine Arts in 2001. Liz currently works as a full time artist from her home studio.
She is a current member of the Potters of the Roan and the Southern Highland Crafts Guild.
She exhibits her work nationally through exhibitions and galleries.
